03.05.2004 - Fashion Pants

Fashion PantsI saw these pants at GUESS in Toronto a couple of weeks ago. Oh crap, I just remembered some other stuff that might be interesting. Ok this is a double entry. It's going to split into Toronto and Twelve Oaks. So here it goes...

Toronto: I went to GUESS with my dogs in Toronto. We went to the men's department which was on the 2nd floor. It was sweltering hot upstairs. I looked at the girl working there and asked "What was up?" She said that their furnace was broken so it just kept running. I asked "How can you stand being up here?" She said "I drink alot of water." So I went and looked at some clothes. I found these pants that looked kinda cool but were the wrong size. I tried them on and decided that I liked them. I intended to find them back home and pick them up there. I was talking to another girl that worked there and asked some more about the heat situation. When we were ready to go, I said "Keep it real" to her. My friend asked me what that meant. I guess they don't say that in Canada. I told him that I wasn't going to tell him. So he kept saying it the whole time I was there. "Keep it real. Keep it real. Keep it real." I was gonna kill him.

Twelve Oaks: I went to Twelve Oaks with Kryssa last weekend in search of the pants. I found the pants in a size 38. I went over to an attendant and asked if she could find out if any other stores have those pants. She said Eastland did. She then asked if I wanted to go over there and pick it up. I looked at her and asked "Are you crazy? I already drove 25 minutes from Ann Arbor?" she mentioned that there was one in Toledo. I said something like "I ain't driving 45 minutes when there's one 25 minutes from me". She suggested calling in to the Eastland store and having them ship the pants to me. That was fine with me as long as they had the right size. I told her that I needed a 33/30. She said that since they were fashion pants they were only made with a 32 inseam. I asked "Why they don't you make fashion pants for short legged inseam people?" She pretty much said that that's how they do. So she called in the sale and everything was good.

I got the pants yesterday. The UPS person put the package on my doorstep. It rained yesterday so it was pretty wet. I opened the box and tried the pants on. They fit pretty good. I was pretty satisfied. That was until I looked at the pant leg. It still had the security mechanism attached. I just kept thinking. "Great, now I gotta go back to Twelve Oaks again to get this thing off." I also kept saying "Why would they send this out with the security tag attached? Who would do that?" These Serra British Khaki Fashion Pants better be freakin worth it. Causing me so much trouble. It's B.S.
