I went to 2 shows this on Friday the 22. The Hey Mercedes show started super early. They were done at 7:30pm. I made a mix CD and gave to the Bob Nanna, the lead singer before he went up. He was super nice, really good guy. We talked about stuff and then they went on. They played some new songs [which I thought were really good]. I think they played good considering Bob was sick.

My options after the show were to go to Ann Arbor or stick around Detroit. I was supposed to meet Sarah Coch later because we were going to a party. I decided to go to the Dis Plan show. Now the last show they played at the Stick was crazy but this one was even crazier. They played a few songs and things was normal. But this crazy Canadian kept yelling things out. Trav got pissed off and forced him [along with about 1/3 of the crowd] to get up on stage when they played Ice of Boston. The drunk Canadian kept trying to get back into the crowd but Trav grabbed him and dragged him back onstage. At the end of song some crazy ass kid grabs Trav and kisses him. Trav's reaction was "Well, this show is turning out to be a real corker!" They played the rest of their set and threw in some covers by the likes of Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Outta My Head and Detroit Grand Pubahs - Sandwiches. It was fun show.

Sarah and I headed to a 4 DJ party in Detroit. We were able to skip the $5 cover charge and walk right in. woo hoo!!! The house was really cool. Really old and kinda sad that it was kinda falling apart but it was a good time. We walked around the house looking for all of the DJs. We could only find 3 out of 4. We did some people watching, talked to some people. Saw the freakin Cobra Commander again. I swear he is everywhere I go. Why? Nobody knows the Cobra Commander. But I bet you would if I pointed him out to you. I think I got home at 3:30AM. Good times.
