08.06.2001 - Cafeteria Suggestions (July Edition)

08.03.2001 Holly: "Good morning! I am just writing to comment on the breakfast egg rolls. I noticed that you switched to a different kind or a different brand, and I personally, don't care for them. I used to get the egg rolls quite frequently, and the other egg rolls were delicious, but these aren't nearly as good. In fact, I won't buy them anymore because I don't like them. Thank you!"

08.01.2001 William: "Today, out in South Lyon ( BCBSM building) they started charging .28 cents for syrup for our pancakes. I was just wondering if any of the other BCBSM cafeteria's charge for syrup? Twenty-eight cents for a ounce or two of syrup is high. I never heard of anyone charging for syrup with the purchase of pancakes. Thank you"

07.27.2001 Stuart: "Why the shortage of silverware, especially knives? With the caliber of this cafeteria, there should be an ample supply of silverware. Plastic knives just don't cut it. Also, the cleanliness of the silverware is questionable."

07.23.2001 Carol: "I would like to suggest that you keep the cut up fruit and cottage cheeze available at lunch time also. I can not always eat heavy foods with sauces and fried in grease. Also could you bring the fish back that used to be at the grilled bar? They were great. Thank You"

07.23.2001 Rhonda: "THE COFFEE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE FOR AT LEAST A MONTH. IT HAS AN OLD BITTER TASTE. IT MIGHT THAT SOMEONE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE COFFEE OR THE COFFEE MAKER NEEDS TO BE CLEAN,WHATEVER THE CASE PLEASE GIVE THE MATTER SOME ATTENTION."

07.19.2001 Charlene: "HI, Sometimes the food from the sauté area can be loop warm."

07.19.2001 Roshundia: "i just have a general question to ask...are you all serving peach cobbler today?"

07.12.2001 JoAnn: "

Hi Karl,

Just a suggestion:

In the morning around 9:30 am is the busiest time (usually). This morning the line was long in both areas (Charles and the other lady). I waited in line for about 8 minutes and when I finally got to the front, there was not any bacon left, which happens quite often. Charles had bacon in his area, so the lady got some from him. It was not done. Betty Jo went and found some bacon that was done. (There seems to always be done bacon in the deli line.)

I believe you know that bacon and Charles' line are the most popular. Why is that either there is never enough or it is not done? Also, maybe someone could help the lady out when the line is long. We only have 20 minutes fo break and when we stand in that line for 10 minutes and sometimes wait in the cashier line for 5 minutes, our breaks are over.

Sometimes the same thing happens at lunchtime. The busiest times are usually 12-1pm.

Could you help with these issues?"

07.11.2001 Gloria: "Why isn't there a current menu on the web site. The out there is for June..!!!!!"

07.10.2001 Ann: "The turkey and stuffing were good today, especially the stuffing. Whomever made that stuffing really knew what they were doing."

07.10.2001 Diane: "I would like to make a suggestion that we can have a sandwich made at either of the counter's that makes sandwichs. I have been in the sandwich only line many times with several people ahead of me, and the other sandwich counter had no waiting. today I was the 5th person in the sandwich only line with 1 employee making sandwichs. I looked at the other sandwich counter and there was 2 employees behind the counter with no one in line. they were just standing there. I went over to ask them to make me a sandwich and was told very forcefully that i do not come over there for just a sandwich (to tell you the truth, i don't know what the difference is to be able to use that counter, can you please explain). she told me she would make the sandwich for me today, but from now on i have to go to the correct counter. we don't have enough time for lunch as it is, and i would like to not use what little time there is standing in a line especially when there is no waiting at the other counter. i am hoping you will take steps to remedy this as soon as possible. thanks for your consideration"

07.06.2001 Roxanne: "Personally, I have enjoyed the Friday lunches on the patio. However, one suggestion that I have would be to switch up on the menu. There are some persons (such as myself) who, for one reason or another, may not can handle hot dogs and hamburgers & ribs and might would like to have barbeque chicken occasionally. If the menu was switched up weekly (a few items one week; a slightly different menu the next week; back to menu # 1, etc, etc, etc) everyone would appreciate it...however, I am still enjoying lunch!
Thank you."
