12.05.2002 - Bootleg Art from the Meijer Museum

During a conversation with Kryssa, I was reminded about some weird things my mom said to me about expensive art on Thanksgiving. She is a big fan of Meijer paintings. She has vandalized my house with Meijer garbage paintings. She was telling me how she paid alot of money for really great paintings. I think she said she spend like $200 on some big ugly piece of crap. I started laughing at her and telling her that buying bootleg paintings at Meijer ain't buying art. I told her that she was like one of those gaudy black women that worked at Blue Cross with her ugly ass gaudy paintings. She wanted to keep arguing but I told her that I didn't want to talk about it anymore. Usually when we make fun of my ma about her gaudy decorations she goes and buys more. So its really no use.

My favorite painting is the one of the old man fishing with his dog. I mean COME ON!!! An old man fishing with his dog? What the crap are you thinking, mom? The funny thing is, religiously my parents think dogs is unclean. But I guess they clean enough to put on yo wall. One time she brought home one of those 80s neon/blacklight paintings with a dolphins on them. Shazy and I laughed so hard at her, she returned it. My post X-Mas holiday party is December 21st so come and see all of the ugly ass paintings at the Bootleg Meijer Museum, I mean my house. Actually, I am gonna take them down for the party. Maybe I'll leave the granpa/dog painting up for kicks.
