07.05.2001 - Trav Time

Ok this going out on the weekday thing is really making tired and not get enough hours at work but I can't help it because so much is going on in Detroit for once. Anyways, I always wanted to see Travis. They came to town sometime last year but I didn't feel like going because I hate Clutch Cargos. So instead of going to see them in Pontiac, I decided to see them at DTE Energy [formerly Pine Knob and still Pine Knob to people that do not want to embrace its new name]. Why would I do that? Well, I wanted to go the the Travis show this whole time but didn't want to pay $35 dollaz for a damn ticket. I really didn't think I'd be able to go but work hooked me up. It looks like the ticket lockdown has somewhat subsided. I got 4 free tickets to see them, woohoo! I contacted the Stones and made some plans to go.

Pepsi Challange: We were walking over to trade our Trav vouchers for tickets and got sucked into the Pepsi Challenge. I didn't really want to do this but the people looked pretty funny. Kryssa and Wendy did the challenge too. I asked the my challenge administrator if it was gonna be like that 7-UP commercial cuz I ain't drinking sour milk, bile, cement, or armpit sweat. They told me it was cool so we proceeded. I was wearing a Radiohead T-Shirt that quotes Exit Music for a Film from OK Computer. It says "We Hope That You Choke" really big on the front of it. My administrator asked me in a high nasally voice why i hoped she choked. I said "because I do." Ok, so I took the challenge and immediately pointed to Pepsi and said "this one is Pepsi." The admin asked which I like better, I repeated "this one is Pepsi." I was right and got my squishy Pepsi keychain prize.

Freak Analysis:
It seems like lately everytime I go out with Kryssa I get inspired to name people. Here they are:
Would you like some drinks?Pearl Jam - 2 kids wearing those longer beanie cap things.
Travis Grizzly - bearded guy that sang along with all of the songs while playing air guitar.
Undercover Pervert - old guy with his shades on walking around scoping somebody. He just kept walking around and kinda posing. It was kinda disturbing but hilarious at the same time.
Lady Chris Kattan - mobile vending woman who had the same haircut and smile as Chris Kattan from SNL.
Nottie - there were a few of these fatsquatchs walking around. they wore tank tops with "hottie" printed on the chest. most of them were oozing out of their tanks.

Kryssa also has some good thoughts from that night over here.
